Meet Liz
Since 2014, Liz Price has been working with students from the start of the college process to the end. Liz earned her BA in mathematical economics from Pomona College, her MSW from UCLA and her College Counseling Certificate with Distinction from UCLA.
Even before counseling college-bound students, Liz’s work centered on adolescents and young adults: she worked in residence life at Caltech; served as assistant director of University of Pennsylvania’s Program for Student-Community Involvement (Civic House); and co-founded a teen center in southern California. These experiences along with her education and social work training put her in an ideal position to help with both the project management and emotional aspects of college counseling.
In addition to working with College Composed clients, Liz has been very involved in Mountain View where she’s lived since moving from southern California in 2013. She coached youth soccer for years and created the curriculum for first-generation college-bound students for Mountain View High School’s AVID program. She currently mentors first-generation students throughout their college years through MVLA Scholars.
As recent empty nesters, she and her husband look forward to any time they can spend with their two daughters, one a recent college grad and one in college, both living in New York. Liz spends her free time reading, traveling, competitive puzzle hunting and connecting with friends — she’s always up for a round of Rummikub and always has a deck of cards at the ready!
